Wow has it been a while

It has been a while I guess. Lot of things happened. Both my Grandfather and my Grandmother passed away at the end of 2008. We also had to say good bye to our family dog Vicky.

Then in December 2008 we became God Parents of Ava. She is the daughter of our friends Kelly and Adam. She is just precious.

Gyula after the Olympics went to the "dark side" and joined the women's national team. This was a big change, as they centralize in Montreal. He had quite a few trips since then, but he is enjoying it.

Last weekend finally we attended our Adoption Seminar. Stay tuned. :o))) It is very exciting to be looking forward something positive.

Water Polo Team Qualifies for the Olympics

Well we never thought it would happen, but it did. The team qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics to be held in Beijing, China. They beat Romania 9 to 8 on my birthday, March 7th. One of the best birthday gifts I have ever received.

On other matters, we went out with my family to celebrate my birthday. Of course I did not have the luck. After losing $80 on poker, I tried my luck on the slot machines. Well did not do any better. Everyone else in my family was quite lucky, for example my father sits down presses a button and wins $329. What a heck is up with that??

On Sunday, I saw my friends Dora, Sanyi, little Alex, Jessica, Gabor and little Mattea. It was nice getting together, the kids are always so much fun.

An other thing happened on Sunday. I stepped on the scale. Then I kicked it a couple times saying "liar, liar" and decided to start my diet. Also, my half marathon training is going quite well, finished week 2 with a bang, I ran 4.5 miles all at once under 50 minutes.

This Week

This week has been uneventful. Not much happening on the home front. Gyula is coaching, I am working and Milky (the cat) started sharpening his nails on my brand new chairs. So, I have taken the training tool out and laid it on the chairs. I am sure hoping he will stop, otherwise I will kill him.

So as you see above we have two wildcats, Borzi and Milky. We love them and they have brightened our lives. Milky is as we call him Handy Cat as he is deaf. Very sweet cat, loves kids. Borzi on the other hand is the king of the house. Two very different personalities.

Off to a great start

Well, this is my first blogging and we all know if you are looking for Gyula I will be adding the content, so I guess it will be quite one sided, but what a heck.

If you are new to us, well here we are. Gyula Ferenc Toth came to great Canada to Calgary on December 15, 2000 after meeting me Judith Virag on the internet. He was supposed to visit only but, if you know him, he doesn't mess around, so he came for good. We got married on October 27, 2001 and have been living happily ever after. :o))
